Doug Olson, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Risk Officer, provides strategic direction for GreatAmerica as well as operational oversight.

Prior to joining GreatAmerica in 1993, Doug held various senior level operational positions within GE Capital’s Vendor Equipment Financial Services unit dating back to 1987. Before joining GE Capital, he spent the previous 13 years with Chase Manhattan Leasing, ITT Financial and Security Pacific National Bank (now part of Bank of America). His senior levels of responsibility included Vice President of Operations, Western United States Credit Director and Western United States Sales Manager. Each of these positions has given him a broad range of experience in credit, documentation, collections and sales.

Mr. Olson earned his M.B.A. degree from Pepperdine University and a B.A. degree from California State University at Long Beach. He has been active within the Equipment Leasing Association, spending many years with the Small Ticket Leasing Committee. He serves on the Board of Directors of Guaranty Bank & Trust Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
