GreatAmerica Announces Managed IT Business Planning Session

posted on Thursday, November 14, 2013

(Cedar Rapids, IA) - GreatAmerica Financial Services Corporation and Collabrance LLC announced today the roll-out of a Managed Information Technology (IT) Navigator business planning seminar for office equipment and telecommunication dealerships, independent VARs, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).The program includes a free webinar offered in November and December, as well as a hands-on business planning session on January 14-15, 2014 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The events will be facilitated by Milton Bartley, President & CEO, ImageQuest Managed Services, Nashville, TN. Mr. Bartley will help guide executive teams through the step-by-step development of a managed IT services business model and operational structure. Businesses starting a managed IT offering--or scaling and enhancing a current one--will gain insight in sales force compensation, pricing strategies, and specific operational considerations, such as team structure and project implementation management.

“We continue to see a demand for education and best practices sharing as solutions providers enter and scale their managed IT services operations,” said David Pohlman, Executive Vice President and COO, GreatAmerica. “Navigator attendees appreciate hearing from someone who is currently out in the field growing their business, overcoming challenges and willing to share secrets of success.”

Chap Breard, President, MOEBiz, Monroe, LA, and former Navigator attendee, recommends the business planning session and recalls, “It’s real world stuff! What Bartley did wrong, what he learned from it, and how to get us into this space quicker, faster or more efficient than what we would have been able to do on our own.”
