Third Party Servicing - The Onboarding Process
On-boarding a new client must be an efficient and painless process. Having recently brought on 35 clients, our on-boarding routine has focused on the procedures and systems to support these clients from day one. Internal preparation includes meeting with our client weekly, then daily as we get closer to the “go-live” date. Those meetings outline the necessary steps, deliverables and follow-up items for both GPSG and the new client. We are firm believers in the adage “Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance”!
Third Party Servicing – the Front-end Servicing Solutions
The GPSG front-end allows clients to input and manage the application, pricing, credit, and documentation processes using our systems. After pricing and credit parameters have been defined by the client with our assistance, the client then uses our online tools to price their opportunities and underwrite the credits via our ServicerZone. Once the client adjudicates the credit, they populate their agreements on templates stored on ServicerZone. Those contracts are then automatically activated in our back-end servicing system. Our involvement can range from help desk support and limited processing, to oversight. Since coupling the complete front-end and back-end servicing solution, we have successfully partnered with multiple clients to effectively implement ServicerZone into their processes – allowing them to focus on their core business and success.
Backup Servicing Solutions for the Solar Industry
GPSG looks forward to working with industry partners and experts to prepare for the next wave of opportunities as a result of the recent securitization activity in the residential solar space. Demand for backup servicing for solar finance companies, investors, and banks will require more than the just “transition services.” GPSG has assembled a consolidated traditional approach to respond to the market needs. Through a subservicing arrangement between GPSG (as servicer) and a reputable Operations and Maintenance (O&M) provider, we have partnered with a major bank to be the named backup. By combining the financial strength, industry expertise and capabilities of the three parties, it presents a very effective and efficient means of protection for the investors.
